The Batavia Teachers’ Association membership has proudly served the Batavia, NY community for decades. As a Union of public education professionals, the BTA strives every day to ensure that its members have the tools, resources, support, and working conditions needed to deliver a high quality education to every Batavia student. The BTA affiliated with New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) in 1973.

The membership of the BTA is on the ground floor at every building and grade level. When students succeed, our members are there, having delivered the instruction and support their students needed to achieve that success. We are members of the Batavia community, parents, and tax payers. We are invested and care. We advocate for our students’ safe, supportive, and effective instructional environment. 

The Batavia Teachers’ Association stands with the families of Batavia. We care deeply for our community and the youth we serve.
